We want to programme a wide range of excellent events – theatre, dance, music, spoken word, film and multi-media – here at the Dukes.  We’re especially interested in showcasing excellent Lancashire talent, also bringing `the best of the rest’ of national and international work to Lancaster.  We like to work closely with visiting artists and companies on finding audiences for events; if you think there are particular audiences for your work in Lancaster do let us know. We generally decide on our autumn/winter programme of work in March and April, our spring/summer programme in September and October.  If you would like us to consider your production or event, please send hard copy information to Tom Fisher, Theatre Secretary, or by email to
If there is a film you’d love to see on the big screen The Dukes is a member of which gives film fans the opportunity to control their local cinema. Pick your film. Choose your cinema. Select your date and time. Invite your friends and if enough people book tickets your screening happens.

For films not listed on Ourscreen we welcome film requests, but there are many reasons why we might not be able to or choose not to screen a particular film. This could be due to unavailable rights, no UK distribution or simply because we do not have the room in our programme.

All tickets are non-refundable, but if the performance is sold out we can try to sell the tickets on your behalf. Please contact the Box Office on 01524 598500 to arrange this.
Our terms and conditions for competitions can be found here

If you would like to swap your ticket to another night, please give us 3 days’ notice and we will be able to arrange this for you. If you swap to a more expensive performance you will have to pay the difference. If you swap to a cheaper performance then we will give you a credit note for the difference.
