Our bar is open from 11am until 11pm Mon-Sat, and you can take your drinks into any of our events! A great alternative to the pub, our bar is welcoming and inclusive whether you are with friends or want to enjoy a quiet drink while reading the daily paper.

We are proud to serve Lancaster Brewery’s Blonde on draught and their Black, Red and Amber in bottles. We also stock a range of wines, spirits, ciders and lagers, and non-alcoholic drinks include Frobishers Juice and Fentiman’s botanically brewed soft drinks.
J. Atkinson & Co have been supplying Tea & Coffee to the good citizens of Lancaster since a young Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1837. You can get a cappuccino, hot chocolate and other speciality coffees up to 30mins before an event. After this time we serve filter coffee and tea to speed things up and ensure everyone gets served.
Intervals for shows and Live by satellite events are usually only 15 mins long. We can have your drinks ready and waiting for you, saving you time and allowing you to relax and discuss the performance. Our bar staff will gladly take your order pre-show and let you know where to collect your refreshments. You can also pre-order food, just ask at the bar.
Ice-creams – Since 1954 Mrs Dowson’s have farmed the gently rolling hills of the Ribble Valley. Today they supply us with an exciting and delicious range of creamy ice cream tubs. As a business with a family they are very concerned about additives and when developing new flavours they use ‘honest’ ingredients rather than artificial flavours. Ices are usually served from The Gallery at the interval, but can be bought from the Cafébar anytime.
Unlike many theatre bars we stay open post show and film Monday – Saturday until 11pm and often later on opening or special event nights. We frequently have live music or DJs playing on these special nights which are open to all. Chances are you will also be able to spot cast and crew enjoying a well earned pint!
Ginger Bakers produce an inspiring array of cakes and bakes using the freshest ingredients, often gluten free, locally sourced where possible and always free range eggs.
Don’t wait until you’re in to see a play or film to visit us; our Cafébar is the perfect place to work, read the papers, our books, or grab a game of scrabble with friends. We are also family friendly with plenty of room for prams.
