While there is some seating available in The Dell, you are also welcome to bring your own foldable chairs or picnic blankets so make sure you're totally comfortable throughout the screening. Seating is unreserved so find yourself a spot and get settled ready for the film to begin.

There will be a range of food and drink available courtesy of our friends at Williamson Park and more details of this will be released soon. You're also very welcome to bring your own picnic, including alcoholic drinks, so you can make a real night of it.

The time shown on your ticket and on the website is the approximate start time of the screening, but dependent on how quickly the sun goes down we might start a little later, just to make sure everyone can see the screen clearly. The latest will be around 20 minutes after the time shown on your ticket. Doors will open approximately half an hour before each screening.

As Sunset Screenings take place outdoors, they can be affected by the Great British weather, so our advice is to come prepared with jumpers and raincoats just in case.

If there is some light dizzle which is forecast to pass, we will proceed with the screening as planned. However, torrential or stormy weather might mean we have to cancel the screening. If we do that you'll be offered an exchange of tickets or credit for another Dukes screening within the next twelve months.

Because we're in the UK, the weather can change at short notice turning even the most miserable of days into a balmy evening, so be sure to keep your eye on the forecast right up until the last minute on the day.

Access to the The Dell is a flat concrete path but there are uneven surfaces once you are in the main space.

All of the individual film pages detail the age guide of that film: U, PG, 12A, 12 or 15. Anyone aged under 12 can attend a 12A with an accompanying adult over 18. For a 12 or 15 rated film, all attendees must be of that age.

Guide and assistance dogs are more than welcome, but all other dogs are not allowed and you will be refused entry if arriving with one in tow.

We do continue screenings in wet weather, so please come prepared. Very few screenings are lost to bad weather, and we aim to carry on unless conditions put the safety of audiences, staff or volunteers at risk.

The earliest a decision about whether to cancel a show will be taken is at 7.45pm on the evening of the show and will depend on conditions in the park at that time.

When a screening is cancelled ticket holders will be entitled to equivalent replacement tickets for a future screening of this or any other Dukes screening, to the equivalent cash value, subject to availability, to be booked within 1 year.

No cash refund will be given (Law Reform (Frustrated Contracts) Act 1947). In the event of a last night screening being cancelled there will be no replacement screening of the film, above conditions apply.

Please also note the following:

  • The management reserves the right to refuse admission;
  • Photography and the use of recording equipment, including mobile phones, are not permitted at any time;
  • All tickets are non-refundable;
  • Licensing conditions require that every member of the audience, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket. Babies carried strapped to an adult in a sling/papoose are exempt, however pushchairs require a valid child’s ticket.
  • Dogs are not permitted, except for assistance dogs.

If any of the above terms and conditions are unacceptable to you please contact the Box Office within three working days of receiving your tickets and a full refund will be given.
