We’re just days away from premiering Blackout, our very own play about how Storm Desmond affected our community.
We are hoping luck will be on our side for opening night – Friday the 13th of October – and the rest of the run which ends on November 3.
Inspired by the experiences of dozens of local people, Blackout has been written by Sarah McDonald-Hughes who can’t wait to share the play with people from the Lancaster district and beyond.
“I hope that it’ll be an illuminating and exciting show, and that our audiences will see something of themselves in the stories and worlds that they see onstage,” Sarah said.
And in keeping with the community ethos of Blackout, all the cast are locally based and have memories of the unprecedented power cut and floods of December 2015.
