Creative LearningThere are many ways to get involved with The Dukes. We offer a range of weekly Youth Theatre groups from the age of 7 upwards and a weekly music group. We’re also very proud of our inclusive theatre work and provide weekly sessions for young people and adults with learning disabilities, a Deaf Drama group and Alternative Outcomes (adults with experience of street homelessness).

All our groups work towards at least one production a year and perform in one of the three spaces we have at The Dukes: The Rake, The Round or our Centre for Creative Learning (CCL) which is just up the road from the main building. Sessions are fun, and provide members with skills, knowledge and experiences that you won’t find anywhere else in Lancaster!

Work with professional directors, designers, writers and theatre makers on a weekly basis
Develop skills in performing arts, team work, communication and creative expression
Meet like-minded young people who share your love of theatre
Learn about life in a professional theatre environment
Create exciting and innovating productions inspired by you
Have fun!

Membership is £60 per term for most groups (see below for more details*) and registration is through The Dukes Box Office. There are limited places for each group and these are filled on a first come first served basis.
